A quick walk-through for families. Check what’s done; circle back to what isn’t.
At home
- Emergency contacts are posted where everyone can find them
- Kids know how and when to call 911
- We have a family meeting spot and a check-in plan
- Caregivers and visitors are people we know and trust
Online
- Privacy settings reviewed on each app and game
- Location sharing is off unless we chose it on purpose
- We know who is on our kids’ friend/follower lists
- Devices charge in a shared space overnight
People & activities
- Our kids can name the trusted adults they can go to
- Activities with other adults follow a two-adult / open-door rule when possible
- We ask youth programs about their screening and supervision policies
Reporting
- Hotline numbers are saved in our phones
- Everyone knows: telling a trusted adult is always the right move
